Mark A Ellison, OD

Dr. Ellison was raised in Wood River, Illinois.  He received his bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Illinos in Urbana-Champaign and his Doctorate in Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

In 1980, Dr. Ellison established his practice in Bethalto, Illinois.  He practices full-scope optometry and makes sure that the equipment in his practice is state-of-the art.

In the past, Dr. Ellison has been involved with the Boy Scouts of  America, the Bethalto Boys and Girls Club, and the Bethalto Rotary.  He also had the honor of being one of two optometrists for the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club.  Dr. Ellison is currently a member of the Wood River Lions Club and president of the Fosterburg Fire Protection District.

Dr. Ellison and his wife have lived in Bethalto, Illinois since moving here from Chicago in 1980.  They have two adult children.

Jean Office Manager

Jean is the office manager here at Family Vision care. She has 29 years of experience in the optical field.Come visit us for your eye exams and see what you have been missing.

Debbie Licensed Optician

Debbie is our resident licensed optician. She has been in the optical field for over 20 years now.She worked with Dr Ellison from 1989-1995. She then moved to Florida for 8 years and became certified in Opticianary and Contact Lenses. She is also licensed in the state of Florida. She has been back with Dr Ellison and the wonderful staff here at Family Vision Care for 7 years now.

Tammy Optometric Assistant

Tammy has lived in the Bethalto area her entire life. She is an optometric assistant for Dr. Ellison and has been with him for over 13 years. Tammy enjoys working closely with the patients before they are seen for their eye exams.

Tammy is married with an adult daughter and two grandsons.Tammy enjoys bike riding, walking, and spending time with her family.

Jennifer Certified Paraoptometric

Jennifer  joined Dr Ellison's staff in July 2009 as a optometric assistant/ receptionist and in March 2011 became certified as a paraoptometric. She enjoys helping people with all their eye health needs as well as Corrective Vison needs.

Jennifer grew up in Bethalto she has five children Alyssa, Andy,Tyler, Michael, & Kaitlyn . She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and shopping. Jennifer likes the family atmosphere here at Family Vision Care . Please come see us for all your Eyecare needs We are only a phone call away.
