Mark A. Ellison
Doctor of Optometry

Dr. Ellison is originally from the St.Louis Metro East, having grown up in Wood River, Illinois. He attended undergraduate school at the University of Illinois at Urbana, Illinois where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in chemistry.

Following Dr. Ellison's undergraduate training, he attended Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois where he received his Doctorate in Optometry. While attending Optometry school, he was inducted into two academic honorary fraternities; BetaSigma Kappa and Tomb & Key Honorary Society. Dr. Ellison was graduated with honors from Illinois Collegeof Optometry in 1980.

Dr. Mark A. Ellison currently maintains a clinical optometric practice in Bethalto, Illinois since 1980. His clinical focus in addition to Family Optometry is Specialty Contact Lens Fitting, Refractive Surgery Co-Management, Cataract Co-Management, Sports Vision, Medical Optometry. Currently, Dr. Ellison is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

From 2002 to 2005, Dr. Ellison was involved with the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Organization as team Optometrist, He has also been active locally with Boy Scouting, Boys & Girls Clubs, and Lions Clubs.

Dr. Ellison resides in Bethalto, Illinois with his wife Cathy. They have two adult children.
